Just noticed in my local tesco that Morphy Richards are doing a kettle (black something or other) and a four slice toaster (again a black 'range') for £40... - basically you buy the kettle and get the toaster for free... Not as cheap as on-line, but Tesco must be biting back...

You can get some great bargain by purchasing direct from the manufacturer as proved by the OP.

Here's a thread that i started sometime ago where you may find some more bargains direct from the manufacturer.

Perhaps you'll find something good enough to start a new thread on? ;)

Looks like a good thread there - I always thought the manuf's were way dearer than retailers (for what reason I have no idea!!!:D) but as proved by the OP and yourself, I was quite wrong!

Cheers for the link - one for the bookmarks for sure!

Robert Dyas also have a Russell Hobbs brushed stainless steel and black kettle and toaster set for £29.99.

    Russell Hobbs Gift Set 13724

    Product code — 141995 , RRP £59.99

It's £39.99 in Woolies, but seems to be £59.99 in Argos and Tesco.com.
