Indeed. It came in a taped up carrier bag...0 -
I wouldn't be whining about a positive.
If this guy is really daft he'll leave a griping reply, that will draw people's attention to the comment. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Bizarrely, since the star ratings came in I'm finding more sellers are just throwing things in a tatty envelope. I used to think that highish p&p for a bottle of perfume would mean that it would arrive decently packaged (I'm happy to pay considerably more than face value postage for packaging), but that's no longer the case.0

Wendym I agree. Is this because the price to send something is say, £2.49 and they charge £2.59 but send it in a used jiffy to get a good chance at getting a 5* rating for decent P&P charges...?0

I now make no money on postage, (my choice) I wrap everything in brand new bubble wrap and or acid free tissue paper. Everything is wrapped carefully for maximum safety!! Guess what ?I still get people giving 3's so you can't please everbody.
But that is what the star rating is there for and everyone has a different persepctive of what is good and what is great!!0 -
I can see where the OP is coming from, yes it is postage and packaging however when the difference from what it cost to what it was charged is £2/£3 and comes in a jiffy bag then it is too high as ajiffy bag doesn't cost £2/£3!New surname New start!
Total Debt - [STRIKE]£9999.09 [/STRIKE]now 7633.16 23.66% paid off0 -
If sellers don't like the feedback they've got about their P&P, then they do have the option to do something about it in the future. They can either cream money off P&P and take the lower feedback, or do things properly and get better feedback in return. Their choice!!
If buyers don't like the postage stated, then don't buy it, it's their choice.0 -

Nonsense
If i buy a 3 piece suite from Harveys and they charge me £70 delivery , i will still buy the 3 piece suit but `ill be damned if i`m going to LIKE the delivery charge

I do not mind if a seller uses recycled materials for their packing as long it is offers the right amount of protection and I am charged according. When comparing the postage cost and the price I was charged I consider if the materials are new and I would not mind if there was a bit extra to cover petrol.
It can be differicult to gauge how much an item will cost to send which is why if I am going to sell a heavy item I take it to the post office before I list it. This is not always practical but a seller must know when they are way out. If they do not want to get marked down why not offer to refund some of the difference. What annoys me is when a item costs a lot less to post but seller do not go up to the next level. For example if they state 2nd class they do not send it first class.
The OP put great value so I do not know why the seller is getting snotty.0
