I've just done it on my own as I went to citizens advice on 27th May they said they would get back to me in 1-2 weeks. I'm still waiting! National Debtline told me to book the appointment myself so I did. I came on this forum and everyone was really nice and helpful. So my advice would be to go for it. I was terrified but there was nothing to be scared of.. I am now officially bakrupt as of 11.22am Thursday 31st July!!

If you use this link it has links to everything you need to know about bankruptcy and petitioning for your own. When your filling out your forms if you have questions ring the Insolvency service enquiry line on 0845 6029848 they are really helpful and friendly.

Have just rang the court and made a date-August 26 10 and 10.15am.
Thanks for all advice so far-methinks we will need a bit more soon!!!!

Just wanted to say the OR at Birmingham are brilliant both me and my OH went BR and they have been extremely pleasant, helpful and extremely efficient
