In a dilema about car

I have no idea what to do my car has just had an MOT and there is a mountain of things wrong with it which is going to cost a small fortune to fix (the automatic gear box is on its way out and it needs new tyres the car is only worth £500 . I need a car i dont even know how i am going to go on tomorrow without a car i cant get my daughter to nursery ,luckly its summer holiday and the other two children are not at school or else there would be no way of getting them to school either .
This is my dilema i have no savings my old car would have been worth approx £500 but worth nothing now without those jobs being done as its no tax & no MOT .
I am on a DMP WITH cccs and not allowed to take on any more credit but i still have one credit card with no balance on it which i could use to buy a new car (i am thinking about buying a car for about £1000 ) i know i could get one cheaper but i will need one which is fairly realiable as i use the car alot and depend on it . I am due to get a lump sum in december for £800 so i know i could pay off the credit card but as i say this really is not allowed under the CCCS rules but im desprate WHAT SHOULD I DO ? I cant even wait until dec as i need the car today even more so come September when the children are back at school .

well the car will have scrap value which is ever increasing. the are advertising £230 per car in scrap value alone. Not to mention the price of a car does not give you an accurate indication of its reliability.
I think CCCS would be of the opinion that even tho you already have the card then you would be borrowing more by taking money from it.
Contact CCCS and ask them if they can make any suggestions.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

Thanks for youe reply ,Well at least i may get something for my old car then .
Im still unsure what to do though i dont want to ring CCCS cause i know i should not borrow again on a credit card but i have no savings and i need a car .0 -
I think you should ask CCCS. It's possible that your dmp has been set up 'too tight'. They may be able to review it and lower your monthly payment. It's worth a phone call.0

Thanks for your reply that is true my DMP was set to tight i have only just rang them to reduce my payments as i have not been able to save for a rainy day . I really had no idea that my car was on its way out i thought if it does fail its MOT i can afford to pay for little repairs i didnt expect this therefore i have no savings .
Thanks again for your replys0
