Spice Grinder?

Can anyone reccomend a good spice/coffee grinder that will grind even hard spices? I've been looking around but just don't know what to go for.

  • Hi there,

I would like to recommend the Krups KM 75 - I bought mine a few years ago - I haven't ground coffee but use it regularly to grind spices. I bought mine in Boots.

    Cheers

edit: just googled it and seen a picture but it bears no resemblance to the one I have! Will try and come back later to see what info I can find.

Edit again - it looks like this one but mine is slightly more powerful at 200watts -

I have a Braun Stick Blender. It had a small grinder, which I find ideal for even hard spices :j

  • Sorry - I have no idea. But I think it is more for dry items rather than being a mini food chopper kind of thing.

I use a Gordon Ramsay Bamix stick Blender with Grinder. The user guide says:

It grinds, grates and chops wet and dry ingredients finely - for example nuts, grains, cereals, onions, garlic, chocolate, cheese, herbs, sugar (for powdered sugar) and bread (for breadcrumbs).

It is rather pricey but it works every time and is so easy to clean.

    Hope this helps.

    regards...

    hi,there

our spice grinder/coffee grinder is not only convenienct, but also very cheap, every family could almost afford this cost. This spice grinder could apply in whole grains, natural sugars, and creative seasonings, these flavorful feasts, if you have a cabinet oven, you could enjoy the Home-made cake with it.

We also offer sugar grinder .

  • Ive had a few cheaper ones (sub £30.00) and they havent lasted that long. The cheap ones all seem to have plastic cups for grinding the spices which go all murky after the first use and look horrible. I found the Waring WSG30 commercial spice grinder at Juiceland.co.uk (cheapest price I could find) which has steel grinding bowls and from all reports it seems it was designed for the Asian community. I bought one anyway as it looks really nice and I have to say its a very good quality machine compared to the others Ive had and as its commercial it should last a long time in comparison.
