Help before I throw it out

I cooked a joint of pork on Sunday, and had some left over which I sliced up and put in the fridge to use the next day, theres enough there to make a good meal for 4.

Monday I came down ill and have spent the last 4 days in bed with tonsilitis. I have now remebered about the Pork I left in the fridge. Would it be ok to eat now? Or to even freeze for a later date? Or is it only good enough for the bin?

Thanks in advance.:j

Personally, I wouldn't freeze it but as long as it still smells ok I would eat it tonight.

I would give it a good sniff, but I'd expect it would be ok.

However, to be on the safe side, you could either put cook it at a very high heat - i.e. a stir fry - or put it in a marinade containing vinegar first, and then cook it. You could stir fry some tonight, and put some in the marinade to cook tomorrow? The marinade can have anything in you like, but the vinegar is what stops the process of decay.

I agree I wouldn't freeze it, but mainly just because there's then the extra time it's going to be sitting around while it defrosts before you cook it.
