We are a married couple of self employed childminders and are just about to update our people carrier/camper van for a new model. We use this to transport the children we mind every day on the school run and outings etc., and were wondering if we could claim this as a capital expense and is it possible to claim the interest on the loan taken out to help pay for it ????

Yes, you need to claim capital allowances for the vehicle, along with the business proportion of the loan interest.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
