welcome to the board, you have taken to the first steps in becoming debt free.

I would too recommend you post an SOA and a list of your debts including APR's, we can then take a look and make suggestions.

My advice to you is simple, do not take on too much work, its not a race to become debt free, your health and well being is far far more important, you need to last the course and not burn out shortly after starting it if all you are doing is working.

Hi Amyandjon and welcome to DFW.Im a staff nurse and have debt too so we both have something in common allready.
Look forward to seeing your SOA, good idea about asking for more unsociable hours.I work nights at the weekend, not ideal but I earn about £300 extra a month doing this.I tell myself it wont be forever, Ive had to let nice jobs go because to work more sociable hours I would take a pay cut even if I go up a band due to the loss of my unsociable hours payments.
Could you join the nursing bank too for extra hours over the winter, when you only sit at home anyway.

Hello and welcome both. Here are my thoughts.
Mobile looks high, check you are on the best deal and switch via a cashback website.
Meal plan, and batch cook where you can.
Car ins (and house) when they are due check on comaprison websites then buy via a cashback website.
www.petrolprices.com should tell you where fuel is cheapest to you.
And don't forget to sign up with Pigsback for your daily clicks.
Finally use the snowballerto check which card to clear 1st or try to switch to ones with lower APRs.
    Good luck
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

I am on the laptop so I canot add this SOA up, but you need some proffessional help from one of the debt charities, eg.cccs national debt line etc, you are in negative equity with the house, so cannot sell to reduce your debt.

I have added some comments in above, but will take another look in a wee while after I've made the dinner.

    Hi and welcome

Your mobile phone bill is high at £140 - can you not change to a cheaper tariff or change to PAYG?

Go over to moneysaving oldstyle board (on this forum) for tips on meal planning so that you can make your own food rather than buying readymade stuff. If you can take sandwiches to work rather than eating in the hospital canteen.

Do you have anything to sell e.g. clothes that you don't wear etc, if so do a carboot or stick them on ebay. Join the make £10 a day challenge which is due to start again tomorrow - there are lots of tips on the July challenge on how to up your income with free money from surveys etc.

As for haircuts - well, that one is easy take yourself along to a salon that is looking for models for trainees to practice on and you will be surprised at what you get. Take me for instance, I used to spend £62 having my hair cut and coloured, I couldnt afford it so went to a different salon on a training day and had my hair cut and coloured for £15:j

Keep a spending diary to make note of everything that you spend. Don't buy stuff on credit cards either and try to increase your payments on them - don't even spend on the 0% ones either.

with another loan to come as well, your outgoings do seem to be way over your incomings.

when you get the a+l paperwork together, you will need to re-do your soa and take out all the non -essentials - to see if you can meet everything on your current incomes.

neither of you can afford a mobile phone at the moment - so payg if you must for emergencies only. your landline is also high. take a look at the telephones board on here. there are a few options, but if you are with bt for your line rental, you could sign up to primus (for free) and get free evening and weekend landline calls - another £30 saved. join 18185 too.

again, sky/cable has to go too. also, when are all your insurances due? you can get cheaper deals plus cashback from quidco or another site.

stop all unnecessary spending now (ie. most of it). you need to see whether you can meet your payments or whether you need help from cccs or the like (as another poster has said).
