Changing name on mortgage deeds?

Hi,

I recently changed my name by deed poll so need to change my mortgage deeds. Now what sort of cost would this be? And could i save that money as i need to remortgage in the next few days so change it at the same time.

Thanks

you need to let your existing lender have a copy of the change of name deed so they can ammend their records and they would then put that with the title deeds.

when you re mortgage the solicitor acting will register the property in your new name....I wouldn't have thought there would much of a charge for that if anything.

did you change to anything exciting? I once met a guy who'd changed his to Roman Remains!
    Happily an ex mortgage broker!
