CCAs and interest

Hi sorry to digress but
Do you have a chance of stopping interest if there is something wrong with CCA? eg OH has a credit card that they added 1500 worth of interest to recently whilst on DMP but he thinks he may not have signed an agreement it was just sent in the post. I f this is so can i use that to ask them to refund the interest charged whilst on the DMP?

I would be surprised if they didn't sign an agreement in the stuff that came in the post. The agreement should have state somewhere that it is not a guarantee that interest and charges will be stopped. If this is the case then no you would not be able to get a refund.0 -

CC started in 2002
So i take it you would advise not to request a CCA - as there is no hope???????
I signed for PPI as well - doesnt mean the terms and conditions are fair though does it!
mmm think i will send for CCA just in case“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -

Is it the DMC or the Creditor you are trying to get the charges back from? If it is the DMC you wouldn't get them. If it is the creditor you probably would as £1500 on charges for credit cards is huge and decidedly unlawful so I would get a claim in asap.0 -
From the creditor it is late payment charges and interest of around 250-300pmIs it the DMC or the Creditor you are trying to get the charges back from? If it is the DMC you wouldn't get them. Ah in which case definately apply to reclaim charges as the credit card charges have already had a ruling on them to limit the amount they can charge.0 -
It may help to go on the board about reclaming charges, there is no hold on reclaiming credit card charges so it will be quicker than the bank ones. Also being on a DMP there is no rush as you will eventually be aiming for frozen interest. I would wait until you have your DMP accepted and interest frozen before you start the process so that you get the maximum claim in and only do it the once.0

I could request CCA
then hold my horses as i have plenty of PPI reclaiming going on at the mo
and i have already claimed previous charges on this card
I just would have liked the interest to be taken off as our debt total on the DMP looks like we have paid nothing for the past 18months “most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0
