The day is finally here. In 2 hours and 40 minutes I have my court appointment. If any1 has any last words of advice (or just some kind words to make me feel better) I'd love to hear them.

Hi
Mine was yesterday, it was ok got really worried over not a lot. Take a drink and something to read as you may have to wait around. Mine was just over 1 hour and saw the judge for less than 5 mins.
Take a deep breath and go for it, It will give you the chance to start again.
Good luck and let us know how it goes xxx:rotfl:Made Bankrupt 30/7/2008 @ 14.22pm:rotfl:

Good luck.
I think it's more the thought of COURT  that puts the fear of god into us. That and that bloke with a big black coat and long wig sat behind a big desk.
The fact that when you get there it's not such an imposing building, the judge just wears a suit an is sat behing a small desk in a small room,if you are lucky enough to see him/her that is. Soon makes us realise we were worrying about nothing.
Really hope it goes well. Post when you get back. DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

All the best for today Romy
As Dalip says it is more the thought of going to court etc than the actual deed.. nearly everyone comes back and says how friendly everyone is at court, they probably have to deal with some right nutters half the time so someone going for bankruptcy is usual a bit of relief:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
thank you youve made me feel a bit better. im off to court now. keep your fingers crossed for me. ill let you know how its gone x0

Good luck Romy.
You'll be fine as the other say the thought of it is worse than the deed itself.
I was made BR on Monday and was petrified before it. It really isn't as bad as you think though and you get a huge sense of relief that it is over. I feel like the huge chain around my neck that was drowning me has been taken off and I can breathe again. Its a new beginning.
Let us know how you get on

Hope it all goes well for you Romy!
You'll be fine and wonder why you worried in the first place! It is just as the others have said. I think most people are more worried about the call from the OR when they get back but most seem to have had good calls from the OR.
Good luck xxChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Good luck for today although I am sure you will be fine. Like others have said it's usually more your fears about the day than the actual procedure itself. Let us know how you get on.
