My sister purchased Adidas football boots (blades) from JJB only 8 weeks ago and already they have come apart at the toe area. ... JJB REFUSED to give me new pair...any tips what I can do...please
My nephew saved hard for these and at a reduced price of £76 would of thought they would of lasted whole season.....
I would love to be a Travel Agent :j

  • YOu have a claim under the trades description act I reckon - goods NOT 'of merchantable quality' and/or 'fit for purpose'.

I'm not an expert though - but contact your local trading standards office, they are!

Good luck (but I don't think you need it, sounds to me like an open and shut case!) :)

they are obviously "not fit for purpose" therfore you should be entitled to a full refund - also goods are expected to ladst "a reasonable lehgth of time" which yes can be interpreted in different ways but 8 weeks is definitely not within a gray area for this. If you have a receipt this will help your case OR if you paid by credit/debit card as they woill then have a record of your specific transaction. Go to trading standards as you DEFINITELY have a case. I would also email JJB and complain to them as well

    HTH :)

Try speaking to someone else in the shop, have found that answers change with the person you're speaking to in JJB, otherwise phone their head office, or you could always try a diff branch (dh's favourite when he doesn't get the answer he wants!)

Good luck and let us know what happens.

Other alternative is to contact adidas customer services Uk (imagine a quick google search will bring up an address).
It could be worth going down that road and getting the manufacturers take on the situation. Bit more hastle but could get you more of a response.
I'd also get onto head office about your JJB branch, and ask about there returns policy, as I would imagine it is available for anyone to see.
