CO OP Cashminder Account - All is not Lost!

Hi All,
Similar to a number of other posters i have the co op cash minder account and have received a letter saying they are closing my account as i have had a number of direct debits returned.
Having trawled the forums and internet it seems that i had only one other choice - barclays and that would not be guaranteed.
I decided to call the co op and try and appeal to their better nature!! to my suprise the really friendly girl suggested trialing my account on a month by month basis without a direct debit facility which i guess is better than nothing!!
Just thought i would let you all know that it is worth a try to retain your account!
Hope this helps.
