I followed the link and got chicken & potatoes! If this is Tesco's response to the very succesful M & S promotion, they have to be joking!! Come on Tesco, surely you can do better than this!!"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Got the email, and just potatoes in the link! I rang Tescos and they investigated. Got an email back this morning saying:
"I am very sorry for the problems caused by this error. The email was sent as a national promotion however, unfortunately your delivering store does not have any stock of the meal products on offer as part of the promotion- leaving just the potatoes!
I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused. We are of course working to resolve this issue, please try the link later in the week. If you have any further problems please get back to me and I will do anything I can to help."
Oh well, mystery solved, but I agree, it seems to do them more harm than good.0 -
Will be interesting to see if Mr T tries to match the M&S offer. Useful too as nearest M&S is 20 miles away through excruciatingly dire roadworks! Did manage to get in at the weekend and greatly enjoyed my salmon & profiteroles!
Only thing is, Tesco'd have to use their "Finest" range to match the quality!Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -

Still doesn't explain how you get the veggies / side dish, pudding and wine included in the offer!
(Good on you for asking them to explain tho'!)
you don't, the promotion is a very lame copy of the M&S one, they are suiggesting that by buying 4 chicken breasts(on a 2 for £5 deal), some spuds and a bottle of wine you have "Dine for 4 - £10(ish)"
there is no pudding etc. There marketing department need a kicking on this one for making a spectacular mess of it0 -
Oh well, in for a penny and all that. I've now asked them what would have been included on the list if it had been working....0

thankyou for taking off abusive post.0

Given that the original post has been removed for being offensive, should you edit your message to remove your copy of it?!?

Oh right, so not an offer at all then, just a suggestion about what to have for tea... Do they reckon we're such muppets we can't work that one out for ourslves? Half the fun of bargain shopping is putting together tasty meals with a bit of imagination!
Think they've got egg on their face over this one!
Thanks to Cordy for investigating on our behalf.
Chimp14UK You need to learn some manners. You may have been frustrated by being unable to take advantage of an offer, but there's no need for that attitude. If you spoke to a stranger like that in the pub I think you may get more than egg across your face.Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Sorry, you have to give them 2/10 for effort - Tesco's are right that this proberbly could feed four (with very small stomachs!) and I am sure you could also find a feed 2 for £10 in Tesco's (if you made it up yourself)
Sorry, just the Anti-M&S in me
(just not into brands, thats all)0
