    Hiya

Sandwiches should be fine as long as you use a spread with no lactose in, we use Pure, the kids like the sunflower one.

Ham can be a bit dodgy as some of it does have milk in, but marmite is fine.

Tesco's own chicken nuggets are usually lactose free.

picnic eggs you would need to check as they sometimes contain milk, how about just doing boiled eggs and slicing them up?

Cheese - if you want to you can get dairy free alternatives such as cheesly or sheez but they are expensive. Dependant on how intolerant you could also try goats cheese.

Chocolate fingers - not a hope. But you could gets some other biscuits, digestives, oaties and jammy dodgers are all lactose free.

When my little one has anything at school, I just send bits in for him, the dairy free equivelent, its as easy as I have it all at home anyway. May be an idea to speak to the mum and see if she wants to help.

Hi, I think Kimatsu has given excellent advice. My daughter has a milk and egg allergy and my daughter and I would be chuffed to bits with someone going to so much trouble to provide food that was suitable. I usually take food just to check everything would be OK.

Just a few little comments for what they are worth:
Vitalite spread is fine and is cheaper than Pure.
My daughter (and other children) love Party rings and they are fine.
It might be a good idea to set aside a plateful of food that you know is ok for this child - then you won't have to worry about it in the middle of the party. Most of it should be OK but this way you can be extra sure that she won't eat anything she shouldn't.

I've posted a reply to this twice and each time it disappears so here goes for the third time!

Alpro do very good milk alternatives. Available from all supermarkets and can be found in the long life section, often with cake making ingredients or cereals. They do chocolate mousses, custard and best of all chocolate milk in individual cartons with straws or a bigger container. They taste great. You could do a cola float, with a glass of coke and a vanilla ice cream alternative, like Swedish Glace which tastes excellent and can be found in the ice cream section of any supermarket. You could even scoop the Swedish Glace into wafer cones and drizzle some syrup over the top. Check the cones and syrup for lactose too, they shouldn't but you never know.

Or you could melt some dark chocolate (check that there's no milk it) in a glass bowl over a pan of simmering hot water, melt it and add coco pops, add some golden syrup, mix it and spoon it into cup cake containers and leave to cool. Don't go for the Kellogs coco pop bars as they have lactose in them.

I've got savoury ideas too but I'll post this one first.

well i hope i've done right

    cocktail sausages
    chicken nuggets (tesco's own )
    picnic eggs
ham sarnies (checked and no dairy!)
    marmite sarnies
    strawberries
    grapes
    chocolate fingers
    jammy dodgers

have got individual Mr Men books for the party bags with a pot of bubbles and a fairy cake, although i shall not be giving a cake to the lactose intolerant child unless mummy says yes!

lets hope i dont forget anything tomorrow lol
