Property transfer question

Hello people,
I am around £16k in debt {all unsecured} (it was £21 so it is coming down)... but in anticipation that any of my creditors might come for the house and / or want to place a charge notice, my wife on her own remortgaged the house in February and the property was transferred to her entirely. ie since late February, my name is no longer on the deeds.
The question I would like to ask is when, if at all will the house be safe from sequestration if I am either sued in the County Court (ie if someone wants to give me a CCJ) or if I decide or am taken down the bankruptcy route.
I am asking this because frankly I am sick and tired of constantly being berated by my creditors, told I have to explain how many times I use the loo, etc, in fine detail and being patronised with constant challenges to my integrity. The people I owe money to constantly question what I tell them and to be fair I want to find out if I can say to all of them something like "I'll offer 10p in the £ or self-certify bankruptcy and you'll get sweet FA"
Any advice greatly welcomed

Hi Paul,
You do need to contact
one or all of the following National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | local Citizens Advice Bureau.
Have you done your Statement of Affairs (income & expenditure) yet, without payments to debts? If you put this up on here then the someone here will be able give further guidance. The triumph of hope over experience

Hi,
Following my own bankruptcy i had to declare any properties i had owned and sold in the last 5 years along with the mortgages on them, any equity released and the details on the solicitors that acted in the transaction.
About a week after i had declared myself bankrupt one of the solicitors i had used called me to check it was ok to release the info to the official reciever - so they do check!!
Sorry if this isn't good news but i guess they are duty bound to check that you haven't disposed of any assets that could have been distruted to creditors.

Hi Paul,
I know S43 exceptionally well....to answer your first question any property disposal/transfer of asset will be looked at very closely by the OR if you need the BR route & this can go back 5 years in some cases.
I know what you mean about being chased by creditors but as DEz says ....get advice from the debt charities & then move on from there.
Keep posting mate...this is a tough time for you & often is good to share on here....bit like therapy.
