applying for a student loan while undischarged

i was accepted for a bachelor of nursing whci i am dead happy about it in april this year. although i was recently declared bankrutp am i still allowed to apply for a student loan or not ? if so should i let them now about my BR ?
it is is not for a full amount student loan as i am entitled to a nhs bursary and if elligible i will be only receiving half of it

You are allowed to apply for a student loan.

My o/h got a student loan whilst we were undischarged, and he did tell them, so no probs.
