Photos printed on canvas (picture)

I saw in one of the Sunday supplement shopping brochures a canvas picture (the type without a frame) to go on the wall. It is made by sending in your favourite black and white photo and they superimpose it on to canvas and it comes to you as a ready made picture to hang on the wall.
I am really keen to get something like this made, but not so sure of the £100 price tag.
Does anyone know of companies who do this?

Hi Counting pennies,
I was looking for someone who did this exact thing. I wanted to get some pics of my baby daughter put onto canvas and put into her nursery. There are a few web sites which now offer this, and the prices seem to have come down over the last 6 months or so.
Will try to post a few links (but first time doing this, so fingers crossed!)
http://canvasrus.co.uk/prices.asp (£25 for a 12" x 12" canvas + £10 to add picture)
http://www.print2canvas.co.uk/prices.htm (£40 for a 12" x 12")
http://www.photostuffdirect.co.uk/photowallcanvas.htm (£42 for a 12" x 12")
https://www.next.co.uk also offer the service and I think the price is £39.99 for a 40cm x 40cm canvas (search for personalised photo gifts on their website).
http://www.photobox.co.uk/services.html (£70 for 16"x16")
There are a few more out there, try searching via google.co.uk.
Hope this helps.0 -
My hubbie and I had one of these done of our wedding portrait, just to let you know that it was well worth it, the colours are still bright even after quite a few ++++years now, it was the wedding photographer who did it for us, I'm sure that any reputable photographer will be able to do this for you, so might be a good idea to check out some prices before you commit yourself.Make it happen (old signature)

https://www.canvasrus.co.uk offer this service from £35 + £10.50 P+P for a 12" x 12" size.
To calculate the price for the size you want, look at their standard price list and then add £10 for them to add your own photo to the canvas.0 -

Just to save you some surfing I looked around quite extensively for stretched canvas's recently and these guys were by FAR the cheapest. At the 12 x 12 including VAT and P&P there's comes out to £28 odd.
At some of the larger sizes (A2, A1 or A0) they worked out at around 50% cheaper than the next cheapest I could find.
Of course what this then equates to in quality I can't help with (I will be buying one or 2 for Xmas though....)
