Cleaning with Bicarb

I have a new puppy in the house and I read that cleaning any area with bicarb/water will get rid of the smell of urine, anyone know what quantites I should be using?

hi, i've not heard of using bicarb but i HAVE heard that if you use white vinegar (put it in a spray bottle) and spray it on the carpet etc, it eliminates the smell. you have to actually get rid of the smell so that the dog (or cat) doesn't keep going back to the same spot HTH

You can also add essential oils to white vinegar (not the pickling vinegar)...I normally use it for cleaning....I add around 20-30 drops per 500ml of vinegar depending which one I'm using...tea tree is a favourite as it'e versatile and meant to be anti-bacterial but this may not be a proven fact
