    Oooh hang on,
I posted in a light hearted thread that the Dow had fallen 300 points, an undeniable fact, and you went off on one and accused me of being and anarchist!

Shall we quote your post exactly before you get your nose out of joint?

More Doom and Gloom if anyone interested,

US stocks down 300 points tonight

Don't you just love it !
    (my emphasis).

The Dow falling was a fact. The way your post revelled in this fact was bizarre;)

    whassup dad?

feeling like a minority of one?

there is no 'gang', but you're forgiven for thinking that there is one when some of your posts invite derision from all angles.

There is no gang:rotfl: Perhaps a better term would be lynch mob!

BTW, (since you want to call me a troll) shouldn't you be back in school?

What’s bizarre is your reaction to a light heart thread, if your under pressure or don’t have a sense of humour, no need to be abusive, move on bully boy and pick on someone else.:p
Control is an illusion, chaos is the reality. A successful warrior dances with chaos, and success means simply that one is still alive.

I thought that was what this board was set up for.
    Been away for a while.

I thought that was the whole point of the housing price sub-board. It's well known within the MSE community to be the place where the loons hang out and it's definitely known as the place to go if you want a row.

If you recall, the sub board was created because the MSE powers that be were sick and tired of people coming into the housing/mortgage boards to seek assistance and being told "don't buy now you fool, there is a crash coming" which then descended into arguments with the HPI lobby. They created this board in much the way the US has 'honkytonks' outside of towns - it moves all of the undesirables out and away from the mainstream population.

I'd suggest if you find it tiresome (and I must admit that the novelty is starting to wear off for me), then it'd probably be better to visit the better boards. The investments and pensions boards are great, sensible people and good advice. They've saved me loads of money and I've learned a great deal from them.

On a money saving site this board is truly pointless:

    Q. Are house prices falling?
    A. Yes.
    Q. Oh, right. Thanks.

    Ho hum.

So why are you wasting time here then, if it's so notoriously dreadful and pointless?

Is it some hair shirt thing?

Actually DD, it's rather more complex than that. Which is why I have posted several hundred informative posts on different aspects of the housing market in a couple of months. In each one I have made a different, sensible, and dare I say, much appreciated point about a particular angle of the finer details of the coming house price crash.

I remember when I first started posting, and gradually those who heard started to follow the word, yes, mewbie's word, then more and more followed, until mod: rest of this self aggrandising thread has been removed, partly for reasons of disk space

    heh, heh (with jocularity)

let's not get too stiff-necked about this.

if someone wants to post re 'it ain't gonna be too bad' and can back the assertion up with clear evidence I'll agree and thank.

but I'm still in the 30% reduction camp.

    ignore the 60% mob. idiots.

the 'school' nonsense says more about you, thank yoouu very much.

this is one of the more polite boards ( since nov 07 ). be god, it used to look like a war zone.

calm down, there's a good lad.

I have thought this too. I'm looking forward to it for when we need to travel from Euston or Kings Cross but if it does turn out to be much more expensive than I won't use it after all. If its a couple of pounds more I would use it for travelling north but I probably wouldn't use it for going to London itself.

Isn't there some sort of plan for Canary Wharf users to get off at Stratford rather than St Pancreas and travel onwards from there? (My London geography isn't great.)

St Pancreas......................................:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Nope Zar - you don't know London at all!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
