WANTED: Champagne offers.... again!

It's me again looking for more champagne. This time it is for my daughters christening. I know that you guys came up trumps for me last year and i'm hoping for some more great deals again.
I need to cater for about 35... not too sure how many bottles?

Well... it's not technically champagne, but it is French sparkling wine, and very good as well.

Here's a description: The monks of St-Hilaire near the town of Limoux were the first to produce sparkling wine in 1531. A rich dry wine with an attractive biscuity taste.

The Cuvee Royale Cremant de Limoux is currently on offer at Waitrose for 3 for 2, at £7.49 each, or three bottles for £14.98. I believe that the offer ends on 5/8/08.

This can be ordered through Ocado and perhaps you could also find a promotional voucher code to bring the amount down.

If you want to go for proper champagne, I would recommend keeping an eye on Waitrose as they do come out with some excellent deals.

ps. I recently had a catering company pull together a quote for a christening and they quoted 12 bottles for 30 people at 2x glasses each.

You'll get five glasses from a bottle (they will stretch to six) - so 7 bottles if you want one glass each.

Haven't seen any great offers around on Champagne of late except Tesco doing 25% a few weeks back and then using a code for further discounts.

Their Andre Carpentier champagne I really like and they normally do it at £10 a bottle before Christmas when I buy far too much of it It's £17.98 at the moment which is still cheap for champagne but don't you just hate buying something when you know you have and will be able to get it cheaper?

Thanks Doozergirl. I guess i'll wait for the next tesco/sainsburys/asda offer. If anyone knows of any, i'd love to hear about it.
