Tesco - 5p Off A Litre Of Fuel

just wondering if anyone else has had the same bother as me! i was under the impression that at tesco when you spent over £50 on groceries (exclusions apply) that you got 5p off each litre of fuel! so on i went and spent over £85 only to find out the deal had ended the day previously!this was the store at Lisburn. And to add insult to injury, i've heard that at other stores in Belfast, you only have to spend £30 to recieve the same vouchers - which is still running:mad: ! is it worth my while looking in2 this further? thanks!:o

Did you get a voucher with a 'valid until' date on it? I have one issued on 24 July and it's valid to 7 August. I don't think they can argue with that.

Pretty sure the offer ended either yesterday or the day before. As you went into the store, did they still have the big posters up, saying the offer was still running or did you just take it for granted when you spent your money. Always better to check with the store on offers like this if thats what you specifically went in to get, and cant believe that other stores were giving it out with £30 spend, where did you hear that? The offer has always been on a £50 spend and would certainly be a first for Tesco's doing it on £30

no i didn't have a voucher - i assumed i would get it after i had paid for my groceries but unfortunately not! i was on the tescos website on Monday afternoon & the deal was still bein advertised so I didn't think to ask when i went shopping later that evening!my own fault i know but my boyfriends work colleagues who live in east belfast and the other in bangor were able to get the same discount when spending £30 on shopping! i am fuming - more so at myself for not checking first!grrr!!!!

Well petrol has dropped down to £1.11.9 anyway this morning I noticed in my local tesco's and diesel is down 4p a litre. Have two mates who live in Bangor and they say the offer was on £50 and a friend of my wife works in the big tesco's in kocknagoney and it was £50 there, maybe a bit of crossed wires somewhere, just grab the fuel at the mo and think back to the days of 45p a litre after the first gulf war:(

its always been £50 for Tesco 5p off, maybe they're confusing it with the NOTW voucher for £5 off a £30 shop?
