Cleansing balm Boots Time Delay REVIEW!

I heard the Boots Time Delay Cleansing Balm was susposed to be a rip off of the Eve Lom one, but even better, ITS GOT CASTOR OIL IN IT:j :j

But when I went to buy some it was all on sale & no stock.

Anyway turns out they were pulling it all (thye whole range) to repackage it.

Anyone seen it back yet?

Got this today, I think it was £6.99.

Let you know how I get one.

Also had a muslin in the box.

    Used it LOVED it!!!!!!!!

Its like the OCM but not so runny & smells nice too.

Its like soft wax in a jar, you put some on & work it in, removed my mascara (thats why I prefered the OCM in the evening to Liz Earle, but I still used Liz Earle in the morning).

You just work it in, I tissue off the panda eyes, then use the hot/warm cloth, then finish with a cold cloth.

It came with two cloths, not one. But they are quite small, the best cloths are Tesco Bnatural ones, they are better than Lizs.

    I will list ingredients

    paraffinum liquidum
    petrolatum
    cetearyl isononanoate
    C12-13 pareth-3
    cera microcristallina
    hydrogenated castor oil
    paraffin
    steareth-2
    polysorbate 20
    parfum
    cera carnauba
    dipropyene glycol
    ascorbyl palmitate
    retinyl palmitate
    butylphenyl methylpropional
    tocopherol

After a tip on here I bought a load of large muslins off ebay to cut up to make 4 smaller ones-thet are thicker than le ones thena nd much like the tesco ones, but much cheaper.Works out at 24 cloths for £4.99.I am going to save half to give to my daughter to take to Uni next month-she uses the cloth with whatever cleanser she is using at the time rather than cotton wool (gradually converting her to MSE!)
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

I think thats why I like the Tesco ones, the Liz & Boots ones are very thin.

The drawback to cutting your own is you would have rough edges instead of the nicely edged ones when you buy ready made:confused:

So has anyone else tried this.

Sorry Suki, its early days yet, but I think I may be leaving the OCM, but I will see how I get on.

I like it because I only wash my hair every other night, because it takes half hour to straighten. So half the nights of the week I'm trying to get my make-up off without making a mess & the Balm is more solid than the OCM.

But as you agreed with me before, they are all the same thing, different blends & thicknesses, but all a blend of oils that you massage in & the muslin cloth exfoliates your skin as you remove it.

I've been using it for a few months now and think it's great. I never got round to trying the OCM, as I'm just too lazy tbh :D

So I decided to try the boots balm instead and I wouldn't be without it now. I have very congested skin, and when I work this stuff in, I can feel the blockages (plugs of sebum I guess??) coming out on my fingertips. It leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft, clean and smooth.

I found if I used it too often I started to get pimples, so I just use it about twice a week for a deep clean, and use Liz Earle C&P the rest of the time.

The jars last for ages and ages, so it is very MSE.

I agree with you about the mess of OCM at times. Sometimes Im straightening my hair - and realise my hands are still coated in oil so back to the shower or go out looking like lizzie dripping :))

I couldnt use this though, too many petrochemicals for me Im afraid :(

Btw, did you read that article colin has about using olive oil on the skin? Seems it helps in the fight against skin cancers

    Suki

Its a bit irratating to my eyes:( :(:(:(

    Can I come back to the OCM fan club:o :o:o:o:o:o I'm sorry I strayed:o :o:o:o:o:o I won't do it again:o :o:o:o:o

It might do for the mornings when I don't have eye makeup to remove, I will put it aside for when I run out of Liz "penny pinching/short changing" Earle.

I will go back to the OCM at night (fab for removing mascara & no irratation AT ALL to the eyes:D ) & C&P or Balm in the morning.

I bought the boots one yesterday and OMG I am in love. My skin feels great and what a lovely experience. I thought it said not to use near the eyes though, but maybe I am mistaken.
