On the box it states :-
"Shreds 5 sheets at a time. Crosscut reduces paper to a confetti style for added protection."
It's not quite like confetti but is certainly small. All of the pieces are of different sizes but I would estimate on average are about 5mm x 20mm. The picture on the website is a fair representation as you can just about see some shredded paper in the bin. Hope this helps

I was just about to buy it but then I saw this one from argos:

it looks slightly better to me, what do you guys think?

Also I added "up to 3 years" cover on my item for £2.99 however it has a quantity drop down box, if I want 3 years do I have to select 3 from the box, if thats the case its not worth it as it works out as £9!.

Just so everyone knows, the woolies one comes with a 1 yr guarantee on all electricals - as I get so much junk mail I may have overdone it a bit - no issues even though bought over 1 month ago, straight refund and bought another as can't manage without (retain recipt and packing if possible) - now try that with mail order.

Are the Cross cut shredders any use for small receipts? I've had problems before with jamming!

I've just come bck from Tesco and you can buy it in store but for some reason its dearer - £17.87!
It will shred till receipts although not credit cards.

The pieces looked a little bigger in the picture, but 5mm x 20mm is a secure size.
