Hi everyone,
looks like most off to a flying start & I'm in danger of being left behind, so having one today to catch up.
Think the only way I'm going to reach my target this month is by very careful planning, not my strong point

All set for number 3 here today
Had to go into town twice today and resisted the temptation to spend anything, well pleased with myself! The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Have you noticed how when you start to do something, it always generates a string of jobs that need to be done first?
Eg Decided to put some books on eBay - a simple enough task.
1. Fired up the computer to list the books.
2. Began the first listing on Turbolister
3. Soon remembered that I needed to photograph them so spent 30 mins looking for my digital camera.
4. Camera needs charging, so search for charger and then put camera on to charge for 30 mins.
5. Took photos.
6. Came to upload the photos and realised that this was my NEW digital camera and so had to spend 30 mins looking for the box containing the CD and the leads for uploading to the computer.
7. Took 15 minutes setting up the wizards on the computer etc
8. Uploaded photos and doctored them
9. Completed the listing and actually listed.
Result - 15 minute job took 2 and a half hours.
Ah well, at least it was a No-Spend 2 and a half hours!

I have so far managed to spend nothing today, and given that this would be my 4th NSD in August, and I only managed 6 (I think) in total in July, I am fairly pleased with myself.
However......I know that I haven't got enough cat food for tonight......so would need to rummage through the cupboard for a tin of tuna or something to avoid the need to go and spend money.....either that or wait until after midnight and send OH to the shop to buy cat food when it will count as tomorrow's spends:rolleyes:
do you think that if I explain the situation to the kitties, they will be on my side:rotfl:

hi strumpet,
know just what you mean about the string of jobs but have to say fortnightly window cleaning ? Once a month should be fine or even 6 weekly as in my case. Not sure how he manages it but mine always seems to clean the windows week before Christmas too
