Urgent Help and advice needed on Booker Management Services!!

Hi guys, I am new to all of this and some advice would be much appreciated as we have our first baby on the way and really don't need this stress. I had a Barclays loan which defaulted back in 2001 and it has subsequently gone from my credit file. Booker Management Services took over the debt from Barclays and I have always paid my monthly payment on time every month. I took a loan out in Jan and paid them £4000 of my £9000 debt on the premise that I could only afford £60 per month for the for seeable future which was agreed by the lady I spoke to. They have now said I need to pay £100 and when I argued this advising them to listen to the call, they have told me that they dont record calls and if I dont pay they will apply to put a charge on my house?? I really cannot afford this monthly payment. Can they do that on an unsecured loan that is approx 8 yrs old?? A few other things in my favour is I made an offer to Barclays before Booker were on the scene and they refused as it was being sold? I have clearly made an effort to clear this to no avail. PLEASE HELP GUYS!!

Sorry to hear of the stress you are under. If it is genuinely unsecured, I'm not clear how they can apply a charge? You may be better to repost to the debt board where I am sure you'll find people able to advise you in initial terms

Have you spoken to CAB etc, they should be able to help provided you have written details from the January arrangement.
Sorry I can't assist in detail.0 -
