Most people seem to lean to the cashplus or the virgin pre pay card....depends really on what your use is

Must admit, I've had no problems using my Visa Electron online so far - or am I just lucky?!

I just had a look at these and am i right in saying that the cashplus card has a monthly fee of £4.95 but the Virgin card does not have a monthly fee.

Yes it does have a monthly fee...but be careful as some of the other cards will charge you for every transaction or top up. Cashplus doesn't (apart from if you withdraw money from an ATM)

I had a look around for one of these cards too (I heard that it can improve your credit rating, which was the thing that interested me). I had a look around and applied for the cashplus card also. The card hasn't arrived yet, but I paid £9.95 for the card and then its £4.95 or £4.99 (can't remember, the best part of a fiver anyway) every month.

It looks as though the only time they charge you is when you use it to withdraw from an ATM which is something that I don't intend to be doing.

I will be using it for doing my online grocery shop with Tesco because they don't accept my debit card online which is a VISA Electron, which is a real pain in the bum because there are so many discount codes available on this site for online grocery shopping, so hoping this'll card will help with that.

 Good luck in choosing the right one for you, Kalojac x

Well i guess i would see mine as more of a standby card that i may only use say once every 3 months or so so as the virgin one only charges 29.5p on every £10 spent i think that would be my better option plus they dont charge if you put money on the card via Post Office, Direct transfer or debit card which is cool by me.
