Hi Cozza,
Lets get the timeline straight are you intending to go BR & then get made redundant or the other way round cos to be honest the advice you will get will vary depending on this. Please clarify. The triumph of hope over experience

Hi
All I know is that you can't get a job which is regulated by the FSA. I work in Financial Services and that's one reason why I can't go BR at the moment.
It's fine to ask the CAB to help too.

If you work in financial services, dont worry too much, whilest you cant do a FSA regulated job - you can do many accounting jobs, including become an accountant ACCA, AAT and CIMA all accept bankcrupt students.Bankruptcy Supporters Club No.1790

hi all I have been made redundant from my job which was a finance company and have been thinking about going br for quite a while now but had problem finding the money to do it but now i have got a small redundance pay (as I wasnt due any As Only Been at job for 1 yr but when they told us about it i only been there 11 months ) so what i get from that will go to pay for bankrupt0

Thanx PK,
Not all jobs in the financial services sector will preclude you from gaining or maintaining employment.

Yep, sorry didn't make it clear. As others have said, you can work in Financial Services but not in a job regulated by the FSA was what I meant to say.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

hi dez -titute
it was the cccs that said the only other option i have is to go bankrupt as i am just really struggling to make ends meet they tryed to do a dmp but i only had £13 let out of my money each wk to pay the people i owe depts to so i could only offer token payments each week so now with this redundancy i got to go on benefits till i get a job i have applyed for loads but it makes me sick when jobs just dont get back to ya but i dont let it get to me it just on of lifes hurdles0 -
