Buying Camera At Airport Shop

I need to replace my camera and am about to fly out to Greece. I was wondering if anyone can advise if it is worthwhile buying my camera when passing through Gatwick Duty Free Shop? I realise that I will not qualify for full duty free but the discounts they offer seem OK?
Any suggestions?

I know there is a Dixons in North Terminal and another electronics shop there. The BAA website will help in finding out the shops.
Why don't you call up and find out much they will charge for the camera you are after and then see how much you can buy it for on the internet / high street?"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
B_r I've never found them to be that much of a bargain (even full duty free). Basically its down to the fact that its duty free of dixons \ comets prices. If you can't do better than that on the t'internet then you're not trying hard enough.....
The specials that they have might be worth it, but you'd need to find out what they were before hand to check to see if everyones discounted that model and you can still beet the price at one of the online places...
Sorry this is a bit doom and gloom....

To be honest, I have found that Jessops is always competitive and they will price match internet sites (even obscure ones). That way you have High St backup at internet prices.0

I might be wrong, but Jessops will only price match Internet sites who obtain their stock within the UK, this can rule out quite a lot of online stores. They do price match Amazon though.0

Thanks folks - Since posting I took the advice of Pin and rang Dixons at gatwick and they do not stock teh camera I have decided upon.
The info re Jessops price matching is interesting as their prices looks a lot more than I can get even from a small independent via the internet.0 -
There is another electronics store at the airport, however can't remember their name. Last time I was there (a few weeks ago) I did find them pretty competitive, especially over Dixons. When are you planning to fly out? I'll be passing through Gatwick again in a couple of weeks."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
