Apologies if this is the wrong forum, wasn't sure which board to put it on!

A while back I went to Cadburyworld and was really disappointed and quite shocked at how rubbish bits of it were. I've loved Cadbury's forever and was so excited to go, but then really not happy! I wrote two sides of A4 lol complaining and details my issues with it. And I got sent back a nice letter and £10 of Cadbury's vouchers! I used the last of them a couple of days ago. They've certainly made me feel a whole lot better. :) And it's made me realise how much money I spend on chocolate! lol

Seriously though, it reminds me of a guy my brother knew at school. He'd write to Walkers crisps and coca cola and get free stuff off them for saying how much he liked their products!

Has anyone tried this recently - writing to say how good a company is, does it work? Or is this just too cheeky.

It's basically going to cost the price of a second class stamp, but free I guess if you email!

    Hi Noodles

I will move this to Anything Else Moneysaving as it's not really about dealing with debt, it's always worth a letter or a quick call if you get bad service or faulty product, the companies need feedback and you might be surprised by the response ( pleasantly I hope!)

I wax my legs at home using Veet hot wax. Recently they have changed the strips they use so that they are now of poorer quality and more liable to tear. After a nightmare waxing session with the new strips i wrote to veet and complained. They eventually responded, not with a letter but with a massive package of spare strips! Suited me though!

I'm all for complaining if there has been poor service or product however I wouldn't write off letters purely to get free stuff. I also think that if you are prepared to complain you should be prepared to praise good service. Consumer karma!

  • I kind of more meant praise good products you actually think are good. DOn't think I could rant on for several pages about a product I don't like!

REALLY tempted to write to Thornton's and tell them how lovely their chocolates are. Sooooo nice (but so expensive, I could cry!)
