It must be a recent My Child competition as I had the call on my mobile and I have only just started using my mobile for comps. When My Child used to call me before it was on my landline but haven't had any calls on my landline from them for ages. I am sure I will get a call back soon and I will try and find out what competition it is exactly.

 you just type the telephone number in to google and it brings up 2 pages for the tandoori place. Wonder how they can have same number as mychild?
  • I too had a call today from MYCHILD as i answered the phone - something about maths study.
I just did 1471 and it came up with this number too - very odd.

I had the my child call today as well  they mentioned i had entered competition but then went on to ask if i was interested in sofware or something like that did really listen just said no and then they rang off. I did actually win a cookbook with my child a while back so I keep entering their comps as they do seem to send the prizes out. I just wish they wouldn't keep pestering people with phone calls.

What they do is 'buy' numbers which they then reprogram and use as digital hotdesk numbers i.e. you can program any phone you are using to accept calls from that number and it displays the bought number. I used to work in consulting and we had these numbers: mine unfortunately previously used to be for a school in Kent, so I used to also get calls from parents on all sorts of subjects e.g. Joey will not be at school today, I will be attending the PTA, my child is carrying too many books to school, I did some work for your school and you haven't paid my invoice, etc. Some quite irate ones also that made the day pass...

Mychild rang me today and I haven't entered one of their comps since Feb when the calls first started. Boy, did she get an earful!
