  • ive been invited to do a charity fundraiser, i just wondered what everyone usually did, im planning on having a bucket on the table for COTE, making up little gifts from business tools, taking a host thank you gift that i give at parties, selling hand massages for £2? having books for people to look through and of course promoting parties! is there anything else that can be done or does that sound ok? :j
  • I've just started back with TBSAH and was wondering if any of you lovely ladies wouldn't mind sending me some game ideas or if you have one a template for the box raffle or whatever it's called lol

i was considering this but wondered if the consultants were allowed to do door to door, just to get started?

are the consultants allowed to offer discounts to customers if they purchase over a certain amount,to encourage them to buy from you,or are consultants able to purchase discounted stock from the bodyshop to hand out to customers,as a free gift for customers who buy over a certain amount of goods?( i hope that made sense):o

would appreciate any advice or info, please feel free to pm me if you prefer
  • Hello,

I'm a newbie to this site.....looking for some advice really considering being a consultant to earn some extra cash. I personally think it's something i would enjoy, however on speaking to friends & family i'm getting mixed opinions.....lots of work for very little in return, people letting you down last min, giving up weekends, being out of pocket. Also good to meet new people, fun night out, some extra income, if it's not for me i don't need to keep it up.
TBH my head is now spinning with it all.....any ideas or experiences that consultants may have, im all compuzzled
Also do you need to make a set amount of sales per quarter ?
Does your manager have to shadow your first party ?
Do you have to buy the catalogues to distribute ?
Any other advice would be appreciated.

Also i'm from the lanarkshire area in Scotland if anyone is nearby.

    Thanks :j

    hey ditzydaisy,

im in scotland although im through in the east coast. Iv been a rep now for 4 years.
to be honest you put as much into it as you wanna get out of it. iv had good years and bad years, depends on me (i get lazy)

you must do £150 sales every rolling 3 months, which to be honest is easy to do, even if you dont have a party in a 3 month period but want to keep it going its easy to round up £150 orders from friends and family.
as to manager shadowing your first party, mine didnt, i think it would depend on your manager, you'd get training from your manager before you start and if you dont want them to shadow you im sure if you just said it wouldnt be a problem.

your manager will become a friend to you as mine has and you'll find her a wealth of experience and advice if you ever need it.

you do have to buy the catalogues and im not gonna lie you do have to make an initial outlay but thats why they get you to do the parties in your first few weeks its to make your money back that you've paid out cause you will. :j

your manager will tell you whats essential and whats not, you can win things by doing good sales. now is a great time to join as christmas is our peak selling period and people want parties and you can make some decent money at this time of year. its a great way to make new friends and meet new people. :D
  • Hi. • Hi all

I have just signed up to be a consultant and should get my pack on Friday :)

I am from Ayrshire in Scotland.

I have been reading everyone saying about training they received?? I didn't get offered anything like that, I just had a quick chat on the phone with the area manager (who lives about 2.5 hours away).

    I am nervous to start!!

I was thinking of applying for stalls at Xmas fayres/markets etc? But I dont know if they will allow it?? Has anyone done this before? x
  • are consultants allowed to use the bodyshop logo when getting business cards printed?

vista print seems much cheaper than the one linked to the bodyshop forum
