Hi all! I have a meeting with the local TBSAH manager tomorrow about becoming a consultant. I was just reading about the new system, what is in the new kit? do people at parties like a wide variety of products to have a look at? im just worried that the new kit will be really small and people wont buy a lot? also what happens if you dont manage to get 4 parties in 4 weeks?
Thanks

still desperately waiting for some news!! Hopefully the AM will check her emails soon...I'm so bad at waiting if I really want something!

hurray! got an email from the AM! She's away until Aug 6th but then she'll get me started, so I have to arrange some parties now so they're ready for when she gets back. Finally getting started! x0

Hi all,
Can anyone help me with regard to registering for tax etc. Do I register myself as the company name or the body shop? What is the nature of the business? Usually I'm good with all this stuff but its completely baffled me.
Please feel free to PM!
Thanks

I'm an Avon Consultant, so forgive me for being on here! I do read this thread to get ideas for hosting Avon parties....
Anyhow, you need to register with HMRC as yourself, and you can tell them you're an independent Body Shop Consultant. Make sure tell them you don't think you'll earn about £5k ish per year (unless you think you will!) to get the NI exemption (otherwise you have to pay an additional £2.60 per week regardless if you are employed elsewhere!)
Anyone who is paying the £2.60 per week NI, should be aware that these payments are not allowable expenses against your income0 -
Dear all
Great to read all the posts - loads of great info!
I joined up in May 2009 and I am based in Camden, London and i'm loving partying for a living!
I am partying all over the country, London, Reading, Sheffield, Hinckley and Ipswich so far....:j
I am keen to become an Area Manager as soon as possible, preferably before I start my teacher training in September. If anyone would like to join up near me please get in touch, currently concentrating on this full time so will be able to give you all the help you want and need, or not as the case may be!
My manager's area is quite large so my teams central training is held in High Wycombe or Maidstone, and Regional in Cobham. If you are willing to travel to these from further a field than London and don't mind meeting me when needed more centrally I am happy to take you on so get in touch.
Looking forward to hearing from you, Karen x0 -
Hi Karen
Welcome to the forum... am guessing your in the dynamic Jan James' region!
I should be if my postcode was anything to go by... but I'm your neighbour in Lou Daly's region.
I became an area manager within 6 weeks of joining & its the best thing I've ever done... infact tomorrow is my year anniversary of being with TBSAH.

I wonder if anyone can help me - I've been bodyshopping less than a year and due to other work commitments (which I no longer have) I haven't partied recently. I tried to log in earlier this month and couldn't as "Your Account is currently on hold for the following reason: Missed RQV for Jun 30, 2009" I emailed my manager and heard nothing. I called HQ and they said that I should contact my manager!
