    What were the false pretences?

It sounds to me that you were fully aware of what you were doing.

You've been unemployed for six years and went on a holiday to the USA?! Now you're effectively saying "I'm not responsible enough to be lent money, so the company shouldn't have lent it to me. I did ask them to do this, but I can't be trusted so it's their fault."

All you can do is call the company, explain that you can't afford to pay them back and see if you can negotiate affordable repayment terms.
  • Excatly what Im saying !!!!

Have to agree with others on this one mate and you have to accept half the blame for this for being so nieve in thinking the banks give a !!!! who they get into debt regardless of wether they think you have the credibility to repay.

I'd say the OP secured the loan under false pretenses!

    Beyond remarkable ain't it!?!?

Get a job and take responsibility for your actions!

At least it was only £3K - you have screwed your credit history up for a very very very long time for the sake of £130 a month (£32.50 a week) - If I owed this I would do anything I could to make sure I paid it back even if it meant cleaning toilets for 3 years - £130 is not alot of money to earn each month - get off your lazy ar** and work.
