DataKits - Ordered 22nd still not received

Order some lightscribe discs from DataKits.co.uk on 22nd July - e.g a week today. Still not received. I have emailed them with no reply, and the contact number is just voicemail. Are this company legit?

have you received an email telling you that they have been dispatched?

which email address did you try? i have no idea if they are good/bad but jumping through all their hoops is the way to start (e.g. order ID in subject line of email)....

Kosher. A whinge site set up to hurt them confirms this - they messed him around with stock status, but still refunded him one week after the order was placed and in time for Christmas:

Wow! I don't know if you noticed, but there aren't any good reviews at Unbeatable after the first 2. Thats 36 negs to 2 positives, or in eBay terms a rating of 5%!

I think I like eBay again .

Oh god that doesn't sound good.

Yes I have emailed them - twice but aparently it takes upto 48 Hours to reply!?!? How??

And yes I ordered around 6am Tuesday Morning and got a Dispatched email on tuesday afternoon.

Oh well maybe I should start a paypal dispute soon.

I've used them once before.

Not good, got my item eventually, but had to chase them for it.

This was about 2 months ago.

I bought an iTrip from them a couple of years ago, when they were new and relatively expensive. It was faulty, Datakits said to send it back, which I did. It "disappeared", despite Royal Mail claiming it had been signed for. RM said they'd compensate me immediately if Datakits would just ring them and confirm they'd definitely not had it. Datakits were very sympathetic in their email, promising they'd do it, but never replied to Royal Mail's request. Despite my reminding Datakits to call RM quite a few times, I never got my refund, or a replacement item. I wouldn't recommend them.

Opened a paypal claim and received a full refund within the hour with the following message:

Message from merchant: order cannot be located with royal mail. sorry for this delay we have refunded you in Full now as this item is now out of stock for 2 weeks

Oh well at least I have my money back! :j

What can be done about this site. It is a big con.

Since ordering and not getting my ipod, I have now seen all the negative feedback. I know it would have been a better Idea to do it the other way round but the site has lots of respected companies andd methods of paying it all looks legit.

Can it be closed down?

Might be worth contacting trading standards although it seems a lot of people get their money back, so they might get a telling off at best. worth a try though!
