    Hi Ms London,

I wanted to add my congrats and just say how fab it is to hear from someone else ' throwing everything' at their debts to pay them off quick.

I always thought I was odd because I'm quite happy to put my life on hold for the short term to get rid of my debt quicker...

You've made me feel less of a freak....and encouraged that actually its amazing what you can do when you set your mind to it and budget!

Haha!! I guess there are two of us then :0)

Even next month when I get paid & the money is all mine, I will still be living off £50 a week. Why spend money because its there?? And obviously I want to save too, I may be going travelling as early as July, but dont feel comfortable with the level of money i'll be able to save by then (i.e. not much!!). However, I dont want to be stressed with watching my money all the time, so I may put it off til the end of next year, and just save less each month.......

My mum sent me a "well done on your debtfree-ness card" yesterday, bless her!!

    xx

It will fly by!!! Plus, if your circumstances change (pay rise) etc etc, you will be able to throw more ££ at your debt, and even an extra of £££ paid back each month will bring your debt free date on my leaps and bounds.

So at the moment it might be JUne 2007, but it will probably change. Thats still not that far off though. Good luck & keep posting on here.

Well congratulations tomorrow when it coms MS London!!! I have been getting debt free for just over 4 years now, and reduced £10,000 in that time (would have been more but for very stressful events in my personal life!) I can vouch that the time flies by and I hope to be clear of the remainder of my debt (approx. £17,000) by 2008 - but like you say, nice things sometimes do happen, and pay rises do occur, so hopefully it will occur sooner - I paid of my smallest debt at the end of last month (£1000 overdraft), so can increase payment to my other creditors now!!!

I hope you don't abandon us now you have money to go out and spend - keep us going with your words of encouragement!!!

    Well done again!
    Gimme back my bank charges!!!!!

Congratulations for tomorrow. Are you going to have a celebration of any kind? I remember my debt free day. It was like I was walking on air that day and I treated myself to lunch in a cafe to celebrate and a bottle of something that night.
