  • clothes is seperate. I think if you're working people have used £20 -£30 p.m for clothes but this may be wrong / changed. People with more experience than me will reply. I believe consumer credit counselling service can give you guideline amounts for your SOA. From the top of my head its things like:

£10 per adult hairdressing a month, £5 for a child
£20 for pet food (cant remember if thats 1 or 2 dogs)

You're also allowed to add for her small holiday, although I chose to call this my "emergency fund"... i.e. if something breaks, this is will be the pot of money i'll raid.

You can also add for prescriptions / opticians / dentist etc, say £25/£30 a month depending on ur circumstances. If ur on benefits this may not apply.

Others with more knowledge will probably help you more but u get the idea!

  • Each OR is different but as a single person I was allowed £200 for housekeeping and £50 for clothes
