Hello:hello:
I have nt been online for ages as i gave up my job in favour of agency work and feeling much happier now ..well that is until tonight when a "counsellor" from a debt collection agency the TSB employ came a knocking on my door .
Actually in fairness he was very pleasant to deal with and i mentioned this site to him and he was full of praise for the work Martin does here.
Anyhows we went through My income and expenses and he was not pushy at all when i refused telephone details stating i wanted everything done via mail and not pushing to find out where Im working etc as it would be unacceptable to receive calls in a temporary job so all in it went very well albeit with no real decisions made other than agreeing i could nt meet the tsb s demands taking into account the other debts and he in fact suggeted sequestration to be my best option(pretty decent considering he was sent to get money from me)
Im not really looking for advice on the above visit but more just posting as i need to tell somoene (i ve learnt on here its good to talk and break my habit of bottling things up:rolleyes:)
A strange ending to the visit when he said he had one more issue to discuss..I listened intently as he asked my advice on a group booking in hotels for a party he wants to organise in an area i used to work in .....He had been so easy to deal with i could nt help being helpful on this but it did catch me by surprise, but rest assured the debt collector will get a good hotel deal :rotfl: (I ve a funny feeling you will read this so feel free to pm me as i may be able to improve on the deal you get with a few contacts i have left in the west coast of scotland area)
I guess i feel strangely relieved that this contact was made and i now feel convinced sequestration/bankruptcy is the only realistic option as i; like most of you here simply yearn for completion on past mistakes and misfortunes.
Thanks for reading ladies and gents and unfortunately i wont be able to reply for a week as im off back to work in the morning...take care :hello:

Hi Rich,
Good to `see` you....gosh a change of job!!... knew you were not settled in the last role. Hope you are much happier.
I am concerned that the Banks & DCA are making more threats/offers for home visits.....I had a letter today....`telling` me when they were visiting!!!! I won`t be there as don`t live there anymore!!!....(must be an awful job though!!)
Don`t leave it so long until your next post....you`re our Scottish expert!!!

Hello Angel
Scottish expert????Purrrrrrleeeeease:rolleyes:...I wish i was
Yes the change of job is a kind of trade off as obviously there is less job security in temp work but none of the bull that comes with running a kitchen(In fact it crossed my mind earlier on whilst walking the dog that i could happily stay doing the temp jobs for now but unfortunately the temp job im in now has offered me full time and with the low season not to far away i need to consider it
The home visits really worried me before(I knew it would come at some point) but i have to say the guy that was here earlier was fundamentally very decent and did nt take humbrage(is that the right word for someone not getting annoyed at ya); when i did get cagey on contact details etc he was perfectly understanding and i did get the impression he was mildly sypathetic when he saw we were nt squandering money but caught in that debt consolidation trap that spirals out of control....but you know what angel....health comes first so f*** it
I hope things are getting better your way for you and OH; and whilst i can always rely on reading a kind reply from you to posters here i do hope you get completion on the home front soon .
Tak care :beer:0
