Hi Peep's
I just want to buy a new TV, A good brand 28inch Silver or Black
just had a look at a Panasonic and want to try to keep to that
brand as my old tele was a Panasonic and has gave me 15years of life.
So its a case of wheres the cheapest to buy.....
and if anyone reccomends a different brand
because Panasonic might be crap now well
thats fine and dandy with me......
Thanks Peep's

You might get some useful advice/ideas on the Digital Spy Forums (e.g. in this thread )
In terms of good prices, you might get lucky with Digital Direct - but what I would do once I have selected the TV I want is go through the price comparison engines.
Let us know what you conclude - I am half contemplating a new telly myself and would be very interested in your conclusions (btw, I currently have a JVC, plus a Sony in the bedroom, and both have been very reliable for years - touch wood).0 -
Hi,
I recently bought a Panasonic after the good reviews in Which. Have been delighted with it.
I would consider buying it from John Lewis, none in stock online at moment but you should be able to get it in you local store.
Also if you can buy it online don't forget to look for a John Lewis discount on one of the forums. I recently got £10 off.a
Costs £299 which includes free delivery and 5 YEAR GUARANTEE.

Best of luck

http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/453_253057.html with a code would be cheap. Or http://www.coopelectricalshop.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?ProductCode=PAN-WSC-TX28PN1-S. I think Comet online price match, but not sure about the details.
Depends if you want widescreen, freeview etc etc.
The out of stock one in JL is at Comet http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/453_251933.html but you would need coupon or price match.0 -
Similar to the one above is this Panasonic TX28DTX11 It's an upgrade on the one above as it features a 100Hz refresh rate (much sharper picture in my opinion).

It's out of stock at the Panasonic shop and is listed there as £549.99!!!
I found it cheaper at www.gultronics.co.uk , coming in at £333.42 including delivery. Gultronics should be a reliable source to buy from - they've long been established as a electronics seller on the Tottenham Court Road. Don't know if they've stock though ...0 -

would certainly recommend you wait for one you want from john lewis. the five year warrranty is worth more than the tv, and if you ask really nicely, when it needs to be replaced [coz they all break eventually, usually just out of warranty] you get a free replacement with new five year warranty. basically free tvs for life.........all you have to do is smile :T0 -
try this website, seems quite authoratative......
https://www.avforums.com
They have separate sections for CRT, LCD and Plasma
Hope this helps0
