GreasyPalm

Options
Has anyone here tried the GreasyPalm service? Someone just recommended it on a DIY mailing list. You register for free and, in the words of their site, you get:

Cash discounts at 860+ online stores
Up to 25% cashback everytime you shop online
Exclusive 'money saving' coupon codes
£2.50 credited to your account for free
Plus a chance to win £5,000 in our prize draw

There was (and still is) a lively discussion on the DIY list, with most people saying, not unexpectedly, "where's the catch?" but the original poster claims that there isn't one, and the up-to-25%-cashback alone brought him cheques for approximately £100 last year.

It might be worth investigating, especially if you have any unavoidable big purchases coming up.

https://www.quidco.com is the best for cashback on purchases as they give you ALL the cashback whereas greasypalm etrc keep some for themselves. So where greasypalm might offer only 4% cashback quidco might offer 8%

Don't forget that quidco do take a fiver a year from your earnings (if you earn a fiver!)

Thanks for that. I'd not heard of quidco; I'll take a look at their site.

Greasypalm is alright to be honest, I got a chq for £26.50 last month. It takes an age to get the cheques when you have hit the 25quid payout amount, but it was worth it as I didnt spend anything to get it. Ive another £15 to go before I can get another, but it especially useful if you are moving house, need insurance etc - as that is where the decent payouts are for things like telewest, phone services, mobile contracts, bank accounts and the like.

    Worth a punt anyway!

  • I have found payment to be quick with Greasypalm and unlike quidco they do not take any back from you (good if you dont buy a lot).
