Nike 10k Run - The Human Race - 31/08/08

Hi All,

usually i fidn myself moving away from these
the long run, tiresome and will be easier to just donate the money

but for reason i have gotten into the spirit and am now tempted to sign up

www.runlondon.com
http://nikeplus.nike.com

its about 6 miles, still very difficult to do (im not a runner and have recently started going to the gym)

anyone else taking part?

need to invest in some 'running' trainers, im sure i can get away with my normal pair i wear to the gym.

anyone joined the site, im a fan fo animal charities and i guess i was more swayed when i saw the WWF there.

Depending on your level of fitness a 10k which is more like 7 miles might be a bit to much to ask in a month, there is plenty of other runs during the year

Check out runners world which has a very active forum and advice on training for runs of different distances and also lists events worth checking out

I'm doing this as well. I can run 6k hard, so I figure I drop my speed a bit, I can make 10k. (I used to be a cross-country runner, so stamina isn't a problem)

    I need a Nike+ kit however!
Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.
