Mortgages for First Time Buyers HELP!

I am completely new to house buying but am looking to move out of rented accommodation like so many others! I wondered if anyone could suggest a possible first step to getting on the property ladder.
I currently earn £27000 a year and my wife does not work, is there anything I can do, eg. housing partnership, 100% mortgage? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

What amount of deposit do you have? The days of 100% are pretty much over, so you might need to hunt around locally for housing schemes.... That aside it's not a good time to be buying ... have you read up on the economy and the vast array of threads in here with people looking to do similar to yourself?0 -
