Mackenzie Hall?

Does anyone have dealings with this company.
I had a hire purchase on my last car and had £2000 arrears.
I sent the car back and agreed to pay £70 month to pay this off.
Earlier this year due to standing orders and mix ups, a few months of payments did not get paid.
Black horse sent my details to Mackenzie Hall for payment.
They are now wanting half of the payment £1000 paid by tomorrow or else they are taking me to court. They are not willing to accept monthly payments at all.
I don't have this money what can i do?
Any help would be great.
Kyle.

Offer them what you can realistically afford, they know full well that if they take you to court ( which I doubt they would do anyway) that a judge will only award what you can afford proportional to your income and expenditure.
Write to them with a formal offer of payment with a new I&E and explain that if the feel a judge would award them more then they are willing to try !
The Law is on your side on this one and they know this, which is why they issue idle bully boy threats over unrealistic repayment plans.
This is in direct breach of OFT / Trading standards guidelines and they know it. It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
