Welcome Borneogirl - a good place to start would be to to read a few threads on some of the things mentioned that we have been using the make money.

    Pigsback http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1034153

    Search the forums for Quidco

Have a look on Play.com, Amazon and Green Metropolis for selling books, DVDs, CDs etc

Ebay can be a big help sometimes so I would recommend using that if you can bring yourself to

Find my earlier post about free b!ngo in this thread too

The others will have more ideas for you to get started:D

My £50 paypal payment has cleared, which has definitely put me over my total. :j I've really surprised myself this month.

Mizmir - could you please put me down again for £10 for next month (if you're in charge :p ). You were right, No. 13 was lucky! ;) Perhaps I should always be that.

I think this is my lot for August, can't see anymore coming in the next 5 days. Well done to everyone who made their target, and for those who didn't, what you did make is more than you had at the beginning of the month!! :T

I got paid for my 1st Self Employed Mystery Shop on Friday, only just checked the bank account my MS money goes into. I've worked out expenses, tax etc and I made £4.49.

Haven't done any jobs in August but have quite a few scheduled for September so that'll pay off later in the year.

Hopefully selling a few bits tomorrow for a few more pounds - it's been a slow month

  • Forgive me for going totally off topic but all the best MSE'ers are on this thread and I am hoping for some advice. I have won another comp!!! That is the third this month. However, this time it is tickets to the Hydro connect festival. It looks like a good concert with a great line up but being in Scotland I cannot go. I have looked on eBay and the ones selling on there are doing well. I would therefore like to try and sell my tickets. However, this is where the problem lies - below is the email I have had confirming my win and you can see the problem...

Congratulations, you’ve won a pair of day tickets for Saturday 30th August for Hydro Connect Festival taking place this weekend (Fri 29 - Sun 31 August) in the grounds of Inveraray Castle, Argyll.

Please collect your tickets at the ‘Inveraray EntranceBox Office onsite. This is the box office closest to the Citylink bus drop-off points; we urge everyone to go green and travel by bus to the festival, visit www.citylink.co.uk/connect08.html to purchase your bus tickets now. Remember if you choose to drive, you will have a very long walk from the car park to the Inveraray Box Office!

Please note that this prize does NOT include camping and it is not possible to upgrade your winning tickets to include camping. It is therefore crucial that you ensure your travel arrangements to and from Inveraray have been arranged in advance. Visit www.connectmusicfestival.com/travel for more information.

Please collect your tickets only on Saturday 30th August. It is not possible to exchange your tickets for a different day, or to upgrade your tickets to include camping.

Please ensure you print off and bring a copy of this email with you, as well as photographic ID showing your name.

Please note these tickets are not transferable and are not for resale.

The box offices opening times are as follows:
    • Friday 29th: open 10am - close 10pm
    • Saturday 30th: open 10am - close 8pm
    • Sunday 31st: open 10am - close 6pm
Thank you for entering the competition and we look forward to welcoming you to Inveraray this weekend!

Doesn't look like there is any way around that one HoleyPockets - they obviously planned for the case that someone might want to sell them on.

Couple of small ebay sales, money from two MS companies and using some coupons has pushed me over my target - in fact I might even make £10 per day by the end of the month!!!
