Signing on for JSA by Post

I am having to sign on by post as I live a few miles from my local Job Centre. I sent my first form off last Monday and received a form saying my claim was ok on Friday. I haven't however received a new form to sign on again on Monday week. Does anyone know if this will come during the forthcoming week or will I need to contact them about this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I think signing on is a fortnightly event in general. So, if you haven't found employment to start next week, then I assume you will have the form a fortnight after the first one. However do check: have they said that every one will be done by post?
How would you get to interviews for work?0 -

Postal signing on was done at their suggestion, and yes, I was told every one will be postal. I will call them tomorrow to make sure I will have the form for next week in time.
Re getting to interviews, I have a car:)0 -

You're lucky. They closed the jobcentre in Driffield and won't allow postal signing so everyone who signs on has to travel to Beverley once a fortnight which is a 30 mile round trip all at their own expense.0 -

That is very unfair. it seems that in my office, everyone from outwith the city can do a postal sign on. I have a 32 mile round trip so I am glad I don't have to go in. Mind you I seem to be making the journey every day for interviews etc so it wouldn't have made much difference!0 -
It'd be interesting to know what the regs are in regard to signing on. If you get £49 a week, £7 to go sign on is a large lump to fork out.0
