Well now that is interesting information, although our oil boiler is housed in the house, in the utility room, so not sure where a wood burning stove could go.

We had thought of a wood burning stove in lounge fireplace, but did not want to go back to clearing ashes etc,., but maybe we wont have a choice soon, also would pellets and wood go up when demand gets higher, gosh, what a problem we have. We were talking the other day that when we were kids, we used to warm our clothes under the eiderdown for morning, get dressed near the hot water cistern, and you could scrape the ice of the inside of the windows in the winter, our grans and grandads all lived to be ripe old ages, so maybe we just have got into the habit of being too soft!!?

Best regards and thanks for the info, oap
  • hiya it doesnt need to be a stove, it can be a biomass boiler too - which could go in your utility room - google them and have a look, might be that you find something that suits...best wishes and anytime, for info re biomass etc, its my job up in the north, growing willow for biomass - very interesting!!

Second is Environmental benefites – it reduces local air pollution; it decreases the amount of local air pollution. It is a renewable resource. Although we cannot utilize the power of the sun at night or on stormy cloudy days but still we can count on the sum being there the next day and give is more power.l
Third is health benefit - solar cell is totally silent. They can extract energy form sun without making noise This form of energy is really perfect to have solar panels residential.

I suspect that English is not your first language?
I like the idea of domestic solar Photo Voltaic panels, but the costs are prohibitive to all but the most ardent Ecomentalist.

I doubt it, one of the reasons (the other being global warming) that we want to produce our own fuel if to not rely on unstable areas of the world

Solar will never be main source of energy it will be a collection of solar, wind, hydro, fossil fuels, nuclear for some time to come

Leaving aside the technical feasibility of the proposal, have they thought about guarding an area the size of a small country from terrorist activity.

Lets disrupt Europe's power supply Mr Bin Laden!

Joint investment, European money, African land/labour and share the returns.
Then if terrorists want to disrupt the project they risk losing support.
