craft machine Cuttlebug / Big SHot?

Hello,
I'm wanting to buy a craft machine of the type like the Cuttlebug / Big Shot types. Only problem is...which one? I know enough about them to decide I want to invest in the ones of this price etc but trying to decide (even with my mum's more extensive crafting experience) is difficult.
I appreciate many peoples choices will simply be personal preference but can people offer any advice as to which they feel might be better and why? The lady in Craftology (Glasgow) said that even although she has the Big Shot, she also uses a cuttlebug and if she were me, she would invest in the cuttlebug - folds smaller, very secure once open and working with it and uses all the Sizzex (?spelling) stuff that the Big shot uses anyway.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I had the same problem as you, I went for the cuttklebug as like you say it fold small, and you can use any dies from any other system in it.
If you end up with one I have a guide on how to make the 'sandwiches' of plates and dies when using from other systems so they go through the machine0 -
Thanks for that Emay. Still undecided but moving more towards the big shot now as to be honest doesn't seem too much to favour one over the other. Any other discussion I have found online really seems to come down to personal preference but I noted people said the suction thing with the cuttlebug is selling point only if the system is to be used on a table which would allow suction (if you know what I mean) so not convinced that is a definate as yet, and also although folding smaller and much lighter, that I suppose is more vital if space is really tight and you are moving it around perhaps. Yes the latter would be better but.....oh so difficult but as I said, my impression so far is that their isn't much in it either way.
Will update as I decide but if anyone has any other helpful advice, it would be appreciated. If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0
