Kameleon One for All Remote Control

I've been looking about for the 6 in 1 Kameleon remote and the cheapest I found was £59.99 at avukltd. Now I remembered your supposed to use the shopping sites and dixons have a stormer of a price at £30 quid.... It appears to be the same 1 but I'm not too sure if they will honour this or maybe I'll end up getting something else from them.

Appealing to the experts out there, what do you think I should do considering the tempting offer of a half price remote?

Cheers

I don't know if it is the same one, but the "One for All 6" came top of the Which? mag testing. It is also one of the cheapest @ £20 @ Argos.
    Nice to save.
  • Thanks Biff but it isn't. The remote is the second generation Kameleon 6 in 1 and I see Argos are selling it for £49.99

Just to confuse the issue further you may get a first or even a secnd gen model from them it is pot luck it seems, however if you get a first and experience any known problems you will get it replaced with a second gen by the manufacturers if you contact them and supply details, you will have to return your own postage paid but a small price to pay. I have a first gen but as I use rechargable batteries the high usage problem encountered with these is not an issue for me so I have not requested a replacement.

I would also point out this is a beast of a gadget and by far the most superior I have encountered and a bargain at the original price let alone current price.

  • i've got the 6 in 1.. was great at first but i got annoyed with it, sky wouldn't give you the right buttons all the time and i got bored messing about changing this that and the other to change the channel..

    they do look good though

    fancy flogging it then?

I had the cambridge audio 8 in 1 for quite a while and it was good. Only 2 complaints was that it ate batteries and it was touch sensitive which the kameleon differs from. It didn't drop test very well so I'm missing it as I fight with several remotes at once.

I also setup a macro so that my six year old daughter could turn on the tv, then amp, then sky, then the cartoon channel all by pushing 1 button.

Taking a trip to dixons tomorrow hopefully so I'll let you know what I come back with....

    Cheers
