House with Flat roof and mortgage application

Hi,
Does anyone have any advice on whether we would be able to get a mortgage on a property where the roof is completely flat?
We are interested in a house, we know the roof has been replaced within the last 2 years, as the previous roof was completely blown off by a tornado  (so the new one should hopefully be in good condition!) but Im not sure if the mortgage application will fail due to the structure of the roof.
If anyone has any information or advice this would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance

With a good survey and building insurance lined up there shouldn't be a problem, provided the building is of standard construction.
Finding building insurance may be more of a problem - or finding building insurance at standard premiums.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
