I want double glazing!

What is the cheapest way? I have someone that can fit them but the windows are not standard size and I don't want to mess around with the current sizes (cos everything is built around them!).

Any suggestions?

What does your "someone who can fit them" suggest? If they know their stuff about double glazing, they will also know where to get the best value for money [which doesn't necessarily equate to cheapest - 'cheap' could mean extremely costly when it comes to windows! ].

If you aren't convinced that they can provide you with the best advice, I'd be very wary about having them fit the windows.

BTW, I am not a window or other builder - but I doubt very much there's any real 'standard sized' windows.....houses in your immediate vicinity may have same/similar size windows, but that doesn't mean there's such a thing as a 'British Standard size window'. If anyone wants to charge you extra for having 'no standard size' windows, tell them to try it with somebody else!

By standard size I mean they are not the sizes that Wickes and screfix sell 'over the counter'.
And as for 'know people' - they are a group of 'oddjob' men that work for a close family business. They have done work around the house (and others) including knocking rooms through and other building work. I don't like to tak the complete pizz so I thought I could hopefully source them myself.

Obviously, if you have any ideas of 'best cost' options including fitting then I'm all ears for that too???
